Leweston Confirmation at the Abbey

For the first time in the school's history Leweston's Anglican Confirmation candidates were able to have a service all of their own in Sherborne Abbey, through the kindness of the Vicar, Canon Eric Woods, who is also the school's Honorary Anglican Chaplain.

25 girls from Years 7 to 13 brought family and friends to the Abbey on Saturday, April 26th to see them confirmed by Bishop David of Salisbury. They were joined by local Anglican clergy and a number of the teaching staff. Director of Music Lawrence Tubb brought members of the school choir, ‘Schola', to sing at the service, and Fr Richard, the Chaplain, was invited to read the Gospel.

Sherborne School kindly allowed the use of Bow House for a Reception after the service.
