Hooke Court

Leweston Prep went on a History trip to Hooke Court near Beaminster on 3rd November.

Year 6 enjoyed some Ancient Egyptian activities. This included making pottery canopic jars and painting hieroglyphs onto papyrus. Year 5 spent that day as Tudor traders and as part of their day they made candles.  Years 3 and 4 found out what it was like to have been an evacuee during the Second World War,  they explored many wartime artefacts and read newspapers.  Everyone had the opportunity to do a cooking activity and some children managed to get very sticky indeed.
