Leweston Christmas Fayre
The Leweston Christmas Fayre was an absolutely fantastic day. Firstly, a huge thank you to all the parents, over forty of them, who were involved in the running of the Fayre. Stall holders made some very positive comments about the Leweston Christmas Fayre and about how it has such a happy atmosphere. Photos can be seen below.
Sweet Stall
Pupils from the Prep School and Senior School devastated the sweet stall, which made £100.70!
Refreshment Table
The refreshment table kept everyone going with mulled wine, teas, coffees and mince and received donations of £121.
Christmas Cards
We have already sold over £600 worth of the Prep and Pre-Prep Christmas cards. For those who have already ordered their cards, please call into the school office to collect and pay for your order. If parents would like to purchase any more cards, they are available to look at in the Prep Reception area and can be purchased from Fiona. Prices are £3.50 for 5 cards and £60 for 100 cards.
Cake Sale
A huge thank you to all those parents who baked the 129 cakes for the cake stall at the Christmas Fayre. £296 was raised which will go to the Friends of Leweston Prep. The winning house was St. Anne’s who made a staggering 46 cakes. Second place goes to St. Antonys with 35 cakes, third place to St. Margaret’s with 29 cakes and fourth place goes to St. Francis which had a total of 19 cakes.
Raffle
The raffle prizes were absolutely marvellous and next year we will be selling books of tickets in advance of the Fayre. Bottles of champagne, pony grooming kits and jewellery were amongst those prizes donated by parents. The raffle made £191.80.
The profits of the Christmas Fayre will be split between Leweston Prep and the “Building for the Future” campaign.
