Thursday 13th November - Leweston U8 vs Knighton House - Win 5-0
Despite the terrible conditions, Leweston were in high spirits and started the game brightly. The opening goal of the match came from Charlotte Radford. She confidently burst into the semi circle and struck the ball through the Knighton House defence. Ana Downing then scored her first goal of the season. It came during a strong spell for Leweston, having the majority of the possession. The ball broke loose in the area and Ana finished bravely to make the score 2-0 to Leweston.
Charlotte Radford and Ana Downing both scored one more each before the half was over, making the score a comfortable 4-0 at half time. A few substitutions were made during the interval but Leweston remained dominant. They managed to keep a clean sheet with great goal line clearances from Fleur Crittall and Alice Richards and scored another through Lucinda Miller with another first goal of the season.
Tallulah Covell, Portia Manson and Connie Lee all made valuable contributions to a well deserved victory which continued the U8s unbeaten record. The player of the match was awarded to Ana Downing for her first goals of the season, but there were a number of notable performances. Well done girls!
