The Next Step
All pupils are prepared for entry into Senior School at 11+ years (Year 6 for entry at Year 7). We are rightly proud of our continuing success in gaining scholarships and exhibitions to Leweston and other senior schools in Academic subjects, Music, Drama, Art and Sport.
The majority of the pupils at Leweston Prep move up to the Senior School, this transition is made as easy as possible with Year 6 students participating in numerous taster activities at the Senior School. These range from subject based taster mornings to an Activity Day in October which provides the girls with an opportunity to meet other pupils who will be joining at the same time, as well as allowing them the opportunity to engage in a range of activities including Science, Maths, English, a short sports tournament and music and arts events. For parents considering boarding as an option, either on a full or weekly basis, we arrange for their daughters to be able to stay the night and be collected after breakfast on the following day.
