Science
Science is organised on a topic basis providing a thorough grounding in Biology, Physics and Chemistry. The focus is on Scientific Enquiry through practical investigative work, which harnesses children's natural curiosity and enjoyment. Investigative work is carried out both in the fully equipped laboratory and in the School's extensive grounds. The grounds are ideal for fieldwork, providing safe access to a wide variety of habitats, including our pond.
In Years 3 and 4 the pupils develop scientific knowledge and understanding through practical activity using the Letts Science Programme.
In Years 5 and 6, the pupils take part in an annual three-day residential visit to Braeside, a study centre in Wiltshire as part of the Science curriculum. (See the photos)
