Chapel

The School Chapel is central in the life of the community as the place where Mass and other school services are celebrated. It is also conveniently situated in the heart of the school so that pupils, staff and parents can visit for prayer; writing in the book of prayer or lighting a votive candle.

Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 10.00am when the school is joined by Catholic pupils from the other schools in Sherborne as well as friends and neighbours. Except for a break during the summer this Mass is celebrated every Sunday of the year, whether or not the school is in session. Mass is also said on most weekdays but the whole school gathers for Mass in the main chapel at the start of the day on Thursdays. All school Masses are a gathering of the school community and pupils and staff play their part as readers, servers, choir and Ministers of Communion.

Leweston also has Trinity Chapel,. Built in 1616 it is the oldest building on the school site and is used for smaller services and voluntary weekday Masses.
