Fire and Rescue Team visit Leweston

A big thank you to the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Team who came and met Nursery and Prep pupils this morning. The children learned about the importance of fire safety at home and at school and had the opportunity to see the teams equipment and sit in their fire truck. The team then answered all the pupil's questions from 'how do you save a cat from a tree?' to 'how long does it take to reach a house that needs your help?'

Pre-Prep have recently learnt about the Great Fire of London whilst Transition Class are currently focusing on the topic 'people who help us'. Therefore, it was a timely visit from the Fire and Rescue Team who were able to describe their experiences and provide a great example of how people help us.

Everyone learned a lot this morning and really enjoyed their surprise visit.
