Taster Days
Following your meeting with the Head and tour of the school Leweston Pre-Prep strongly recommends that your child should spend a day with the class they will join.
A taster day starts at 8.15 a.m. when you and your child will be greeted by the Mrs Allen, the Form Teacher and one or two children. After an initial introduction, the Form Teacher will take you and your child to the classroom and settle any last minute nerves! Your child will then join the class's timetable for the day looked after by a Guardian Angel in the same class. You return in the afternoon for a cup of tea with Mrs Allen and the Form Teacher and find out how the day has been. Very young children might want to have a taster morning or afternoon. The older children should come for the day. If your child has a favourite subject or activity, we can choose the best day to fit around this. For potential boarding pupils we recommend coming for two days and staying over with our boarders in Junior House. Thursday is a popular day for this, as you will collect your daughter on Friday and have the weekend to talk over her experience.
