School Houses

On entry to the school each pupil is assigned to one of the four Houses: St Antony's (Yellow), St Margaret's (Red), St Anne's (Blue) and St Francis (Green). The House system exists as a means by which the ethos of the school may be translated into action and to foster a sense of belonging within the school. Thus throughout the year there are regular House competitions in a variety of sports; this programme, organised by the PE Department, culminates at the end of the academic year in Sports Day and the Swimming Gala. Additionally, there is an inter House music competition in which all children sing their House song and pupils are encouraged to contribute an appropriate instrumental piece. Each House is allocated a House Prefect and meetings are held weekly with the Headteacher and Deputy Head. The House Prefects are responsible for organising their own termly house meetings.
