Parent and Toddler
Leweston Pre-Prep holds a small, friendly parent/carer baby and toddler group on Thursday morning during term time from 10.00am until 11.30am. The room is equipped with lots of toys, books, games and puzzles for the children to play with and a carpeted area with large cushions and mats in the infant library enables your little one to explore and move about amongst the toys and games. The group is FREE to attend.
The group has been established for over ten years now and we are always pleased to see new families. It's the perfect opportunity to meet new friends with your child. To help your child to mix, learn and socialise with other children of a similar age and for you to relax and join us for a cup of tea and a chat! A selection of activities is provided for the children. Each week we organise a craft activity so you can enjoy painting, gluing and sticking together in an environment where we encourage children to explore and experiment with ideas and materials. The children enjoy printing techniques, collage, sticking, free painting, chalking, play dough and much more. The children can see their work displayed in our toddler Group Gallery or take it home each week. They feel good about themselves and their abilities.
There is a secure, safe outdoor infant garden and play area equipped with a climbing frame and slide, playhouse and log cabin, sandpit and the water tray on a sunning day and we offer swimming in the summer term (weather permitting) in our heated outdoor pool; there are private changing rooms and showers. There is a medical centre on our site, nappy changing facilities and child-sized toilets available in the nursery.
