History GCSE

History GCSE offers an exciting range of options which will challenge preconceptions and introduce girls to fresh topics which they are unlikely to have studied before. It is hoped that girls will develop a global vision and will be able to appreciate the extent to which developments all over the world may be inter-related. Above all, girls will be able to come to informed conclusions about how societies are governed and about the forces which shape people's lives.

Topics currently studied include, The History of Modern China, The end of Apartheid in South Africa, British Rule in India and American Politics and Society since the Second World War.
