Individual needs
Learning difficulties present challenges for the brightest of students and the Individual Needs Support Unit provides opportunities for each student to realise her potential.
Early assessment allows the school to identify areas of weakness and enables the Department to provide each girl with an appropriate and individual teaching programme. Specialist staff provide individual lessons; structured, multi-sensory, individual teaching programmes in spelling, reading and numeracy for dyslexic students; foundation programmes in literacy and numeracy to enable girls to keep pace with their year group; study skills sessions and practice in examination techniques.
