At Leweston the Maths Department aims to give each student an interesting, challenging and enjoyable experience in all areas of Mathematics, because everyone counts. The Schools' Mathematical excellence is nationally recognised and the school is affiliated to the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications.
The Department offers a strong team of proactive, specialist teachers; regular testing from Year 7 with continuously monitored progress through to GCSE and beyond; individual recognition for different needs and abilities including fast track courses for for gifted and talented pupils. This has resulted in Maths becoming a popular Sixth Form subject with strong AS and A2 Level results.
