Leweston Prep is delighted to announce an exciting development project at the school which will be in place by September 2019.
The current Prep School hall will be upgraded to a new modern building, providing four classrooms as well as communal space for the whole school. The design of the beautiful cedar clad building will enable events to bring the outside in and a new decked area will provide an alternative performance space for summer events. The Prep will also be incorporating the existing Music Department, (which will be moving to the 1st Floor of the Manor House, further information is available here) into their buildings to provide extra teaching space for expanding numbers.
Kate Reynolds, Head, said “This is an exciting summer for Leweston with two major developments underway which will benefit everyone in the school from Nursery to Sixth Form. Performance, be it music, drama or public speaking is central to life at Leweston and these projects will provide first-class facilities for our pupils to showcase their talents, as well as an important hub for the school community. With September predicted to be the fifth year of continuous growth for the Prep and the third for the Senior School, I am delighted that we are able to make improvements across the campus to better support our excellent teaching and learning and the remarkable achievements of our talented student body”.
