Year 12’s Future Directions Day took place on 13th June and was a day full of information for the next step after Leweston. Sixth Form students had the opportunity to log onto UCAS and write their personal statements. They were also visited by Lauren Hughes, a current university student at UEA, who spoke about choosing the right course and her experience writing a personal statement. We also warmly welcomed back former students Elizabeth Hobbs and Alice Ellwood, who talked from experience about taking a GAP year and what students really need to know about going to university.

For those students who aren’t thinking of University for their next step, Alison Bloomfield from the Oxford Media and Business School talked about the alternatives to university alongside Gemma McDonald, from ASK, who discussed apprenticeships.

Our Sixth Formers then took part in an interview and body language workshop with Mr Dillow who prepared students for interview scenarios and how to present themselves in a positive manner.

Thank you to everyone who presented and led workshops which were hugely useful for our students and got them thinking about the next stage of their journey after Leweston.
