Leweston has had an exciting week this week in the lead up to National Boarding Day on the 5 October.

This year’s National Boarding Day with the Boarding School’s Association is a day to celebrate sport within our Boarding Schools and Leweston students will be doing just that. Our boarders will be taking over the Montacute Park Run on the 5 October at 9.00am. There has been a lot of excitement in the Boarding Houses in the lead up with training taking place for the 5k route. This is a fantastic way to start off the Autumn Term and to forge lasting friendships amongst our new and old boarders as they train and support each other.

However, the focus hasn’t just been on running as our boarders were very busy learning new tricks in a Circus Skills Workshop last weekend. Putting their team work, balancing skills and resilience to the test, Leweston impressed as they spun plates, walked on stilts and balanced feathers on their nose!

This busy week has brought the boarders together, embracing friendships and looking after their community. This has been celebrated in Martha House as Asunta, Year 8 was awarded Star Boarder of the Week for always looking after others.

Come and support our runners on 5 October when we will be taking over the Montacute Park Run.
