Rhetoric is an academic enrichment club as part of Leweston’s Able, Gifted and Talented programme for Years 7 to 9 that takes places in Prep time every half term. It involves a variety of challenges to stretch pupils thinking skills. In this session the pupils tackled some brain teasers to start, then debated some challenging questions in groups discussing one of three motions: Should under 18’s be allowed to vote; can war ever be good; would you want to live forever? The students then attempted to build a Lego model blindfolded, with only one member of the group being able to see the original model.
