Last month Leweston’s fascinating history was brought to life in an extensive article in Country Life magazine.

The Art Deco interior of the Manor House, around which Leweston School is centred, is a rare survivor and Mrs Rose, the owner responsible for the transformation, called on the skills of architect Maxwell Ayrton, designer of the old Wembley Stadium, and artist George Sherringham to complete it. Combined with the Thomas Mawson gardens and the beauty of the 1616 Trinity Chapel the result is a house described as ‘uniquely charming’ by the publication.
