History teacher, My Hayward, set all the students and staff with the Hard Boiled History Easter Egg Competition last week!
The challenge involved putting their history knowledge to the test and decorating a hard boiled egg to look like a person or group of people from history. Mr Hayward spoke of judging the fantastic entries: “The winning entry for the egg competition was May’s depiction of the death of Thomas Becket, saint and martyr. May’s imagination, creativity and historical knowledge resulted in an amazing achievement of egg theatre. I was very impressed by the quality of all the entries and judging was very difficult but the intensity of May’s work as well as its technical accomplishment put it slightly ahead of the other brilliant eggs.”
Well done everyone and congratulations to the winner May S
