The ongoing COVID-19 situation means that our Admissions Process will be a little different this year. Information about Prep and Senior entry is detailed below, but the Admissions Team are happy to answer any questions and will be there at all stages to guide you through. They can be reached on [email protected] or 01963 211015.
Prep School Entrants
All children interested in joining the Prep School are welcome to come, with their parents, for a tour. They will also be invited to an informal, online interview with the Head, Miss Phillips. There will opportunities during the year for them to meet other pupils in their prospective year group, although this may be organised online.
Senior School Entrants
Prospective pupils will be invited into school on an individual basis. During the visit they will have a tour of the campus, interview with the Head, or a member of the Senior Leadership Team, and the opportunity to speak with two pupils in their prospective year group. Pupils who are interested in boarding may also be able to meet one of our Houseparents. Students joining in Years 7 to 11 will be able to complete our school assessment on a one to one basis with Dr Dillow, Head of Individual Needs. We would estimate the visit would take about two hours in total. All of these sessions would be subject to appropriate social distancing regulations and our COVID safe policies applied throughout. In addition to this we will be organising virtual taster sessions designed to provide more pupil to pupil contact in the new year, further details will be shared nearer the time.
All prospective students for the Prep, Senior and Sixth Form would also be welcome to join one of our upcoming virtual Open Doors events, which provides an opportunity to hear from the Heads and current students, watch a virtual tour of the school and take part in a live Q&A session with members of the Senior Leadership Team.
This isn’t the admissions experience we would like to provide but our primary aim has to be keeping both our prospective students and the Leweston community safe. We will continue to monitor the ongoing COVID-19 situation and, if future regulations allow, will organise an onsite event for all our 2021 entry later in the year.
