In common with many other boarding schools in the UK, Leweston has a small number of international boarders still on the school campus.
Despite there being less pupils on site than usual, staff have ensured that life at Leweston is still engaging and fun for those in boarding, continuing to instil the sense of community at school.
Alongside the students’ full teaching timetable, boarding staff have organised various activities for evenings and weekends. Boarders have already enjoyed badminton and yoga sessions during the evenings and some students were brave enough to take on Mr Cannon at a game of cards. The first weekend of the Spring Term’s activities included; a film night, appreciating their beautiful Dorset surrounding on a country walk, a Murder Mystery Evening (where pupils got to dress up and take part in a ‘Who done it’ scenario), and cookery. This weekend’s food theme was Asian cuisine with pupils cooking Sushi, Teriyaki Chicken and Japanese cheesecake.
