Leweston boarders on site have enjoyed another busy week of evening and weekend activities including Sports Hall games, card and board games and Craft and Cookery Clubs.

GAP Assistant, Miss Sing, hosts Cookery Club every Sunday with a different theme from around the world each week. This week the theme was South American cuisine and the boarders enjoyed cooking (and eating!) Aji de Gallina (Peruvian chicken stew), alfajores (a traditional confection found in Andorra, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, the Philippines, and Southern Brazil), and empanadas (a type of baked or fried turnover consisting of pastry and filling).

This week some of the boarders discovered the art of ‘quilling’ as part of Craft Club, just one of the Clubs on offer to boarders. Clubs on offer include:

  • Craft Club
  • Lingo Lounge
  • Badminton
  • Sports Hall Games
  • Table Tennis
  • Knitting Club
  • Yoga
  • Gym Sessions
  • Body Combat
  • Board Games/Card Games
