Year 1 and 2 had a ‘ROAR-SOME’ time yesterday on their Dragon Wow Day!

Everyone came to school in impressive costumes and had a morning filled with dragon and knight related activities.  Pupils made a knight shield pitta-pizza and designed and made their own coat of arms, creating symbols from things that are special to them to decorate shields. The children even had a dragon shaped biscuit for their snack.

Their Wow Day ties in with their Topic ‘Dragons’ which they have been focusing on this half term. In the lead up to yesterday they have supported their learning by creating dragon puppets and papier-mâché eggs. Year 1 also interviewed key witnesses after breaking news broke in the Pre Prep as dragon’s mysteriously appeared in a photograph taken by Miss Phillips! Following their interviews the budding reporters wrote their own news articles explaining the amazing phenomenon! Year 2 enjoyed creating their own dragon profile and having a debate about which dragon was the best!

Everyone has loved their recent Topic and the ‘Wow Day’ was a brilliant way to celebrate all that they have learned!
