The National Laser Run took place at Solihull on Sunday 19 September, with 11 Leweston pupils taking part plus a further 34 athletes representing Leweston Pentathlon Acadamy (LPA). Once again, the LPA was the top team at the competition winning 8 team titles and 1 Bronze. In the individual events the Club had 9 National champions,  5 silver and 3 bronze.

Leweston School athletes had some great results and all raced well;

Congratulations to Edward H who won gold in the U9 Boys race. In the U11 races Katrina S took bronze just missing silver and was also part of the gold team. Whilst Annabel H achieved a personal best to take 8th spot. In the boy’s race Aaron M finished 18th.

In the girls U13 Esme L had a tough race to finish 12th. Leweston had 5 competitors in the girls U15, with Lucy B 4th, Molly C 7th and part of the gold team, Millie W 11th and part of the bronze team, Izzy W 12th and Jess S 16th. In the boys U15 Reuben C had an excellent race to finish 5th and part of the gold team. Jess, Izzy, and Reuben will be competing in the same age category next year so this was a great experience for them to qualify a year ahead.

Further congratulations to Archie C who had a hard race to finish 2nd in the U17 boys.

A big thank you to Mick Flaherty and all of the coaches and a massive well done to all of our athletes on some fantastic results.
