Well done to the twenty nine Leweston School biathletes that took part in the South West Schools Biathlon at Yeovil on Sunday 14 November. This was a qualifying event for the National Schools Biathlon which takes place at University of Bath in March next year.
The Biathlon is a swimming and running competition with various distances depending on age, with the run and swim taking place at different times. The students received points for their swimming and running times, these points are added together to achieve the finishing positions. The school had some good performances with many athletes taking part in their first biathlon!
The school had 3 winning teams; U9 girls, U11 and U16 boys, 2 silvers; U14 boys and girls with Archie C taking individual gold in the U16.
