The 63rd annual Ken Baily cross-country race was held at Bryanston School last Thursday welcoming a total of 328 pupils from over 20 schools. This prestigious event has been held since the 1950s and once again Leweston team excelled.

There were a number of highlights with the Senior Girls team, who have won the event on the last 3 occasions. The Senior Girls Team finished 3rd and Lucy B, Year 10, took individual bronze.

The Junior Girls all ran superbly, taking Team Gold and with our 5 athletes all finishing in the top twenty out of a field of 100 runners. Izzy W, Year 8, was a brilliant 4th followed closely by Jessica S, Year 8, in 6th, Grace S, Year 7, in 7th and Esme L, Year 8, in 10th.

The points score of 27 points meant that the team were clear winners out of twenty teams.

Well done to all our athletes!
