For Chinese New Year, our International boarders from China and Hong Kong, spent Saturday afternoon preparing authentic dishes from home to share with the rest of the boarders.
Director of Boarding, Mrs Simkins-Smith, took Tiffany L, Year 13, to a Chinese supermarket on the Friday to buy ingredients for the Saturday.
It was lovely to see all the boarders laughing, smiling and working together whilst they prepared a number of dishes. They even made a beautiful menu to accompany. The dishes included:
- Sweet and Sour Ribs
- Fish Balls
- Stir-Fried Pak Choy
- Enoki Muskhrooms
- Scrambled eggs with tomatoes
Thank you also to Chartwells, our catering team, who put on a lovely Chinese style supper and decorated the dining hall beautifully.
All our students absolutely loved spending time with each other and the food was absolutely incredible!
