Year 7 students have enthusiastically been writing letters to people of importance after studying a range of Global Issues in Geography in the spring term.

Many of the students wrote to the Prime Minster, David Attenborough, local MP Chris Loder or big companies such as McDonald’s or Coca-Cola on issues close to their hearts.

Students chose to write about global warming, climate change or water poverty as well as our current reliance on plastic and the devastating impacts this is having on our planet. The students were delighted to have had several replies to their concerns detailing the action that is being taken to help resolve these long-term issues.

Huge congratulations to Ellie B, William W and Millie R, who all received fantastic news when they learnt their letters received replies from House of Commons, Parliament and David Attenborough!
