Prep 6 recently went on their annual three day residential trip to the Braeside Education Centre in Devizes. They were very excited to go away with their friends, and to try all of the exciting activities which they had heard about from previous years.
The pupils were lucky to have lots of sunshine while we were there, and the pupils were able to enjoy low ropes, problem solving, life line (guiding each other blindfolded through though woods along a rope trail), high all-aboard (balancing 4 people on a small platform at the top of a high pole), leap of faith (jumping off a high pole to touch a suspended ball), as well as the climbing wall and zipline. Great fun was had by all, and many fears overcome.
The Leweston Learner characteristics were on display with children showing confidence, resilience, creativity and a great sense of adventure as they challenged themselves. Orienteering around the grounds and a great sing-song around the campfire with roasted marshmallows made for a really great time and the children slept brilliantly!
