On Friday 27 May, Year 7 undertook their geography fieldtrip to Sherborne, linking with their Summer term topic of ‘Settlement’. They visited Sherborne Old Castle, considering important factors for early settlement, before visiting the town centre to see the rest of Sherborne.

In groups they conducted questionnaires, character surveys, pedestrian counts and land use surveys along the high street.  Groups also visited Sherborne museum to understand changes in the function of the town over time.  The museum volunteers were extremely informative and helpful. Year 7 were a pleasure to take out – polite, enthusiastic and interested.
