Yesterday evening the boarding staff took (almost) all our boarders to the Rose & Crown in Longburton for a hog roast to celebrate the end of another fantastic year in boarding!

The boarders enjoyed a meal, and staff presented awards and trophies from the St Antony’s Boarding Award for ‘Community Spirit’ for being enthusiastically involved in boarding life, went to Jenna K, Year 13. Other awards were presented, such as the ‘Better Late than Never’ for the student who’s time keeping has improved!

It was wonderful for the staff and students to come together to share stories and laugh together. This fits nicely into the theme for #NationalBoardingWeek of ‘One Boarding Community’. This evening for the boarders will now become an annual event.

The boarders thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it was lovely to be able to support a local business. Huge thanks to the Rose and Crown for hosting us and for putting on such an amazing spread!
