Leweston School celebrated National Boarding Week (21-27 June) with a range of on-site and external activities. The boarder’s kicked off the week with a creative session making artworks based around this years theme of ‘One Boarding Community’ to showcase what the Leweston boarding community means to them.
On the Tuesday and Wednesday, our boarders were given the ‘Bake-Off’ task to make and decorate a cake to reflect the theme. Well done to all the fantastic cakes that were decorated to show the boarding community, however the winning house was Cecilia! The boarding house staff were delighted to see the International flags within the design which reflected the many friendships that have blossomed over the years between all our nationalities.
On Thursday, the boarders enjoyed a meal and each others company at a local restaurant in Longburton. It was wonderful for the staff and students to come together to share stories and laugh together. The boarders thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it was lovely to be able to support a local business. Huge thanks to the Rose and Crown for hosting us and for putting on such an amazing spread!
