Leweston School had 12 students take part in the National Triathle at Leweston School, which was also being used to select the GB Triathle team for the World Championships in Madeira on 26-30 October. The school had some great success, with three National Champions, one Bronze medallist, and seven pupils selected for the GB Triathle team. The Triathle is a continues Shoot-Swim-Run competition at various distances and formats depending on age.

In the U11 girls, we had some great success with Izzy K, Prep 4, being crowned National champion leading from start to finish. Tilly W, Prep 4, received Bronze and Lexie C, Prep 3, finished in 7th and Sadie L, Prep 5, was 10th. In the Under 13 Katrina S, Prep 6, had a tough race to finish 5th.

In the U15 boys, Reuben C, Year 8, had a great race to take Gold, with Josh H, Year 8,  7th. In the girls U15 which was the hardest race of the day, Izzy W, Year 8, was 6th, Esme L, Year 8, 12th and Jess S, Year 8, 13th.

In the U17 Millie W, Year 10, worked hard to take Bronze, and in the boys, Thomas J, Year 11, took Gold!

The following Leweston athletes have been selected for the GB Triathle team: Izzy K, Tilly W, Katrina S, Izzy W, Millie W, Reuben C, Thomas J, with Lexie C as first reserve.
