Towards the end of September Oliver D., Daisy M., (Year 13) and Dr Milestone travelled to Rovinj in Croatia for the European Douzelage Annual General Meeting. Daisy and Oliver were the UK representatives for the Youth Meeting and Dr Milestone for the Education Meeting. The theme of the conference was promoting and preserving local historical and cultural heritage, and they all took part in a number of workshops, activities and discussions linked with that subject. These included painting a sail, a singing workshop on traditional Rovinj songs, and roundtable panels. Thank you to Sherborne Douzelage for supporting and funding the trip – it was an amazing experience for all three of them.
