Taunton Music Festival

On Thursday 09 February, two of our choirs – The Taunton Festival Choir (the voluntary Year 7 and 8 choir) and Schola Cantorum – will be competing at the Taunton Festival of the Arts. The competition will take place at Temple Methodist Church, Taunton 9.30am – 2.00pm.
Our class begins at around 12:00 and 12:30 and it would be really lovely to have an audience if you are able to travel to Taunton to support us. Our Prep School choirs will be singing at approximately 10:30.
This is a great opportunity for our students to sing as part of a choir outside the School environment. The benefits of singing in front of a different audience, of hearing other school and community choirs of the same age singing, and of receiving the detailed feedback from the adjudicator, are innumerable. Whether a pupil considers themselves to be a singer or not (they all are, they just might not know it yet), they will all get something out of participating in, and potentially winning, this prestigious annual musical event.
Family and friends would be welcome to come and watch and support the choirs compete at Temple Methodist Church.
