We are delighted to announce that Leweston has been shortlisted in the Outstanding Musical Initiative category in the Music and Drama Education Awards. The nomination is in recognition of the Staff Music and Mindfulness Scheme that Dr Milestone launched in 2018. The overall vision of the scheme was to offer music lessons to staff, both academic and support, as a way of promoting well-being, mindfulness and CPD. At inception Dr Milestone said ‘my hope was that it would also promote social relationships within the school and improve staff output and engagement and therefore, ultimately, pupil outcomes’. News of the scheme has featured in a number of different publications including the Independent Schools Magazine. To read more visit our news article.

In shortlisting Leweston the organiser’s emphasised that this is a tremendous achievement against extremely tough competition across an astounding number of entries. The winners will be announced in March.
