This term Year 9 have been studying Ecosystems, in their Geography lessons, with a particular focus on Tropical Rainforests. They have looked at where Tropical Rainforests can be found and why they are located there. They have also learned about the structure of the Tropical Rainforest and considered how plants and animals have adapted to survive the climate and the conditions of the environment. Students were asked to design their own animal that was perfectly adapted to survive in the rainforest, taking into consideration what they had learned about the ecosystem in their lessons.
The students produced brilliant pieces of work, with some hand-drawing their animals, and others creating their designs digitally.
Here are just a few examples of their impressive work.
