Leweston top of the table for A Level Performance
Tuesday, February 5, 2019
Government Performance tables published last week place Leweston at the top of the table for all Dorset schools with a ‘well-above average’ progress score of 0.39. This exceptional result reflects Leweston’s long history of individualised academic teaching and strong performance in value-added league tables.
As well as being top in the county, Leweston is the highest scoring school, independent or maintained, within a 25 mile radius confirming us as one of the top academic schools in the south-west.
Head, Kate Reynolds, said ‘Leweston is known for getting the best from every pupil and the data published last week is testament to the hard work that staff, pupils and parents put into the educational journey of every child here. We achieve consistently exceptional academic results. The literal and metaphorical space to grow provided by Leweston and the encouragement that we give pupils to get involved in as many opportunities and experiences as possible helps them to realise what they can achieve’.
