We understand that life outside of the classroom is just as significant as the world within it. For this reason we take every opportunity to build on classroom activities and bring learning to life. From investigating crime scenes to performing extracts from ‘A Midsummer Nights’ dream around the grounds, and jumping back in time with Roman, World War 2 and Egyptian days. We have regular visits from theatre groups and famous authors, inspiring musicians and local experts, such as Longleat staff and local firemen. With so many things to see and do, pupils are given the opportunity to put their learning into action. Below are some examples of the clubs and activities on offer to our students throughout the year.

Every summer Years 5 and 6 spend a week at Braeside Activity Centre learning leadership and team building skills through outdoor activities. Oher recent trips have included visits to Gore Farm, Lulworth Cove, Careymoor Recycling centre, Dippy on Tour and We The Curious, Bristol.
This is carried across into the extensive programme of clubs and activities we offer to all ages. Activities are changed each term and pupils sign-up for a block of each one. The programme is themed around academic: debate club and art academy; hobbies: gardening, cookery and comic making; performing arts: ballet and LAMDA or sport: fencing, tennis and running club. The majority are free of charge, but where an external instructor is booked, a small charge may be applicable.
