Our school caterers Chartwell’s Independent provide students with three nutritious meals every day. At lunch we offer both meat and vegetarian options as well as jacket potato and pasta bar, daily homemade soup and salads. There are also a range of deserts available. Boarders are provided with a similar selection at breakfast and supper and also enjoyed themed nights featuring cuisine from around the world.
As part of Chartwell’s Independent ‘F.U.E.L’ philosophy , which stands for ‘Fuelling Unique Everyday Lives’, we offer a diverse range of nutritionally balanced meals, each packed full of locally sourced ingredients and analysed by one of our team of registered nutritionists. Every dish is clearly labelled to allow our pupils to choose meals and snacks that meet their nutritional needs and sustainability objectives, because we believe in empowering children to truly engage with their dietary decisions.
All meals are taken in the school Dining Hall. Pupils from Prep 3 go through the servery and make their own choices, supervised by staff. Younger pupils are served at table their teachers. Prep pupils sit together with their class and staff to create a ‘family’ dining experience. Senior pupils are free to sit with a group of their choice. Tea is provided for those pupils staying after-school for clubs or homework. All pupils must bring a water bottle to ensure they drink throughout the day.
