Leweston is a regional training centre for Modern Pentathlon, running monthly training days for Pentathlon and up to 8 different types of multi-sports events during the year.
The School also runs two one week Tetrathlon & Triathlon Residential Training Camps over the Easter and Summer breaks.
The camps are aimed at 9 to 18 year olds who wish to develop their skills in Biathle, Pentathlon and Triathlon (older athletes will also be considered). Participating athletes enjoy a programme of daily running and swimming activities as well as the opportunity to try fencing, shooting, and biking. All training takes place on the Leweston campus and accommodation is offered.
Mick Flaherty, Leweston Sports Coach and National Biathle and Triathle Coach runs the training programme and is supported by specialist triathlon, fencing and shooting coaches. All levels of athletes are equally involved with groups organised according to ability. All equipment is supplied by the school including guns and fencing kit.
The Easter camp culminates in Race 1 of the British Biathle Series and all participants automatically gain entry into this competition. The Summer camp culminates in the Leweston Triathlon and Tetrathlon and all participants will automatically gain free entry into one of these competitions.
