Moving into the Sixth Form provides students with new opportunities and exciting challenges marking the transition between school and university and a time for raising aspirations.
Whether joining us from elsewhere or moving up from Year 11, one of the first things students notice about Sixth Form is how different learning, teaching and life feel. They are now in a stimulating and busy environment where they have the opportunity to discover and develop. Although Sixth Form is a place and time to become more independent, dedicated academic and pastoral staff are always on hand.
The Sixth Form at Leweston bridges the gulf between the structure of GCSEs and the freedoms of university life. Students are given more independence and encouraged to develop their personal strengths with an emphasis on independent learning, time management, leadership and teamwork skills in preparation for life after school.
It is an exciting time and the decisions, plans and ideas made now will forge the future ahead. Over two years students explore their aspirations and develop their thinking and life skills, so that they leave as an independent young person equipped to thrive and lead in the world.
One of the many strengths of Leweston Sixth Form is the flexibility we offer. You can select from a broad range of possibilities and participate in a variety of activities; there really is something for everyone. Nowhere is your individuality more evident, nurtured and challenged than in the Sixth Form.
