Deacon Mark Brown grew up in Plymouth where he attended St. Boniface College before training as a teacher at St. Mary’s Strawberry Hill. Mark qualified as a teacher in 1986 and has been teaching for over 30 years, firstly as a secondary RE teacher in Liverpool and for the last 20 years in several primary schools in Devon and Dorset, including a period as a head teacher. He has experience as a school governor in a variety of school settings. He is married with 4 grown up children and was ordained as a permanent deacon in July 2018. His interests include badminton and travel.
