Five ways to board · One place to belong

Boarding at Leweston isn't a single option. It's a ladder, five clearly structured packages that let your family access boarding at exactly the level that works for you, right now. You can start at any rung and move up as your needs change. Every package has a published termly fee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q.

Can I start with just a few nights a week and increase later?

Yes. Many families begin with Leweston Flex and move to Leweston Full as their child settles in and enjoys boarding life. A half term's written notice is required to change between packages.

Q.

Is boarding available in the Prep School?

Yes. Leweston Flex and Leweston Full are both available from Year 4. Overnight stays on an ad hoc basis are also available to all families from Year 4 at our published nightly rates.

Q.

What does Leweston World include?

One all-inclusive termly fee covers: full boarding, airport transfers at the start and end of every half term and full term, on-site Exeat accommodation (no host family needed), EAL support throughout the year, all EAL exam fees, CAS documentation, weekend activities and a minibus shuttle, and a 48-hour taster visit before enrolment. Individual electives, music, LAMDA, equestrian, elite sport, remain at family discretion.

Q.

Are there any hidden charges on top of the published fees?

No. Every package has a published termly fee. The only additional charges are for individual electives (music tuition, LAMDA, equestrian lessons, elite sport coaching) and personal extras such as school trips, which are all published in the fees schedule. Nightly rates for ad hoc stays are also published, Standby (£60), Sleepover (£48), Frequent Sleeper (£40).

Q.

What do boarders do in the evenings?

Supervised homework sessions are built into the weekday schedule. After supper, boarders take part in activities, cooking and crafts, outdoor time in the school grounds, film nights, board games and relax with friends in the House common rooms. Screens are managed thoughtfully and supper is communal and warm.

Q.

Can full boarders come home at weekends?

Yes. Leweston Full means seven nights are available every week, not seven nights required. Whether your child comes home at the weekend is your family's decision, made week by week.
