Important Information

  • Funding is only available for 38 weeks per year. The remaining weeks of the year are charged at the full rate.
  • There is a two‑month notice period required for any session changes.
  • From 1 April 2025, the additional charges we make for “food and funding” will be fully voluntary, meaning you can choose to opt out of paying them.

Shutdown Weeks and Closed Periods

The Nursery typically closes from the last working day before Christmas until 2 January. There is also a closure week over Easter and the last week of August to support staff training. In addition, the Nursery will close for all Bank Holidays that fall outside of school term time. We publish these dates in advance so that families can plan work and holiday arrangements with confidence.

Early Years Funding Explained

Government funding can feel complex, so we have created a simple guide to explain how it works at Leweston Nursery, including eligibility, funded hours, and how we apply this to our different session types.
