Frequently Asked Questions

Q.

Can I change my child’s boarding pattern during the year?

We ask a term's notice for a change but many boarders start off as flexis and increase their nights as they settle in.

Q.

Is there a trial period for boarding?

We offer taster nights throughout the year to existing and prospective pupils and the B&B option can help families explore boarding before committing.

Q.

Is flexi boarding available on an ad-hoc basis or does it need to be scheduled?

Regular flexi boarding is booked on a termly basis, but we can accommodate occasional ad-hoc nights depending on availability.

Q.

What do boarders do in the evenings?

They have a staff supervised homework session, come together for supper, take part in activities, and relax with friends in House common rooms.

Q.

Are full boarders allowed to visit friends or family during weekends?

Yes, with parental permission and prior arrangement, full boarders can visit day pupils or family locally. Parents are also welcome to visit and take boarders out of school with appropriate notice.
