Full Boarding
Full boarders stay at school seven nights a week, returning home for the holidays. This option allows pupils to focus on their studies in the evenings and weekends with all the school’s resources at hand. They also enjoy a rich social life and a full activities programme, ensuring there’s always something to do. Full boarders are welcome to visit day pupils' families at weekends by invitation.

Weekly Boarding
Weekly boarding offers the best of both worlds. Pupils are freed from the daily school commute and can focus on academic study and extra-curricular activities during the week. As Leweston has no Saturday school, weekly boarders can go home on Friday night or Saturday and return on Sunday evening or Monday morning.

Flexi Boarding
Flexis can stay in school one, two, or three nights a week on a regular basis. This is popular with pupils who have after-school commitments and families juggling hectic modern lives. Flexis can finish their homework, enjoy a healthy supper, and spend time with friends ahead of the following school day. Many pupils begin their boarding journey as flexis and move to weekly or full boarding as they reach the examination years—or simply discover how much they enjoy it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q.
Can I change my child’s boarding pattern during the year?
We ask a term's notice for a change but many boarders start off as flexis and increase their nights as they settle in.
Q.
Is there a trial period for boarding?
We offer taster nights throughout the year to existing and prospective pupils and the B&B option can help families explore boarding before committing.
Q.

Regular flexi boarding is booked on a termly basis, but we can accommodate occasional ad-hoc nights depending on availability.
Q.
What do boarders do in the evenings?

Q.
Are full boarders allowed to visit friends or family during weekends?
Yes, with parental permission and prior arrangement, full boarders can visit day pupils or family locally. Parents are also welcome to visit and take boarders out of school with appropriate notice.
