    Livery

Pupils from Year 5 upwards can bring their own pony or horse to school. The Riding Academy has 10 stables available for pupils’ horses who can join on a full, part or working livery basis.

The LCRA team will help them in learning to take responsibility for their horse and support them with essential stable management skills. Pupils come to the yard before breakfast and return after school each day to take care of their pony or horse.

To request a stable reservation please complete thelivery application form or contact theLCRA Office. Due to high levels of demand, we recommend that enquiries regarding livery are made early in the Admissions process in order to determine if a suitable stable is available. Payment of the livery deposit is required in order to secure the stable.  Priority will be given to long term applications.

    Loan

It is also possible for pupils to loan one of school's horses or ponies. The pupil is then responsible for the complete care, including feeding and mucking out morning and evenings. The pupil can ride the horse daily (excluding one day of rest). If you and your horse are of a suitable standard, you will be able to take your horse to competitions.

We have a very limited number of loan horses available for competing, and would recommend that riders who are competitively ambitious bring their own horse

Pupils joining Leweston, particularly international students joining long term, can be supported in finding a loan horse for their own dedicated use. For more information please contact Mrs Roberts, the Director of Riding

"I love keeping my pony in livery at school — it means I can pop down at lunchtime if I’m free, and ride both before and after school. I know I’m incredibly lucky to have this opportunity. The equestrian staff are always there to support me, and I also love how my pony gets constant attention and cuddles from all the pupils at school!"
