Boarding Stays and Taster Days

Choosing the right Sixth Form is an important decision, and the best way to discover whether Leweston is the right fit for you is to experience our community first‑hand. Our Sixth Form Tasters give you the chance to explore subjects, meet current students, and get a real sense of life in our Sixth Form community.

What To Expect

During your visit, you will join lessons in your chosen subjects, and meet staff who will guide you through the academic pathways available. You will also spend time with current Sixth Formers, giving you an authentic insight into daily life, study expectations and the unique opportunities that come with being part of a small, supportive Sixth Form.

If you choose a boarding stay, you’ll experience the independence, structure and warmth of our boarding community, with the chance to join evening activities and see what living away from home, with the right support, really feels like.

 

Sixth Form Taster Day

A Sixth Form Taster Day is tailored to your interests and future plans. When booking your visit, tell us about the subjects you would like to study, whether A-Level, BTEC or a mixed programme, and we will try and ensure you experience as many as possible.

Your day will normally include:

  • A personalised timetable of lessons
  • Time with subject teachers to discuss your goals
  • Meeting Sixth Form students
  • A tour of the school and facilities
  • A chance to explore enrichment, leadership and futures pathways with the Head of Sixth Form

This day is designed to help you understand the academic challenge, independence and opportunities that define the Sixth Form experience at Leweston.

Sixth Form Boarding Stay

If you are curious about boarding for Sixth Form, we highly recommend adding an overnight stay to your visit. This gives you the chance to:

  • Experience life in our Sixth Form boarding houses
  • Take part in supervised study time
  • Enjoy evening activities and social spaces
  • Meet boarders your own age
  • Get a feel for the balance between independence and support

Boarding stays help you understand the rhythm of Sixth Form life and how boarding can prepare you for university-style living.

Join our Equestrian Boarding Taster

Have a horse‑loving child at home? Leweston School’s Equestrian Boarding Taster is back on 13-14 March! 
 
Two days of riding and unmounted activities, dorm life, and evening fun to provide a real glimpse into what it’s like to study and ride at a school offering equestrian as part of daily life. This event is open to boys and girls in Years 9-13. Booking is required and early booking is recommended as spaces fill fast.
