Visiting Leweston School

The best way to understand whether Leweston is right for your child is to come and see it on a normal day.

We welcome families throughout the year, and every visit is a genuine look at the school as it actually operates, not a set piece arranged for prospective parents.

Leweston Open Afternoon | Friday 25 September 2026

Join us for an afternoon where your family can experience Leweston first-hand while you meet staff and current students.

Our open afternoon on 25 September gives you a real sense of Leweston during a typical school day - lessons in progress, students engaged, staff available to answer your questions and provide further information on course options. You'll meet the Head, tour our facilities and see how we support pupils across day and boarding options.

Individual visits

A visit to Leweston Senior School takes around two hours and includes a tour of the school and grounds, time to see lessons in progress and a meeting with the Headmaster. If you would like to meet particular members of staff, the Head of Boarding, a Head of Department or a member of the pastoral team, let us know when you book and we will arrange it.

The Headmaster is also happy to meet families online for those who cannot travel to us.

Experience Leweston

Once a year, usually in June, we open the school to prospective families for a full afternoon on site. Experience Leweston is a chance to see the school busy, with current pupils and staff on hand throughout. Children have the opportunity to join in with activities whilst parents can have a good look around. It is a great event for families who want a broader picture before committing to an individual visit.

We are no longer able to accept bookings for Experience Leweston on 19 June 2026 as the activities are now full. If you would like to visit the school for an individual visit you are very welcome. Please call 01963 211015 and speak to our admissions team.

Taster days

Once your child has registered, the next step is a taster day, a full day in their potential year group. This is a different thing from a visit: it is for your child, not for you, and it is the most important part of the admissions process.
